1. I hate spiders. They terrify me. If I absolutely have to, I will kill it but leave it dead on the floor for someone else to dispose of. Gross. Come to think of it, I probably hate most all creepy and crawly things.
2. I was born premature. I was supposed to be born in November but came in August. I was so small, the diaper came up to my chin.
3. I love coffee. You probably already know this from my blog's name, but of all the different ways to drink coffee, I like cold brew the most. It could be 45 degrees out (which it is today), and I'll still drink my cold brew coffee in the morning.
4. I was born in Europe and came to the states when I was 6.
5. And on that note, English is my third language.
6. I have a crackly knee, thanks to my years of playing tennis.
7. I like all things clean, neat, and orderly. #OCD
8. Semi-related to #7, I love making lists. I have lists for my lists. And nothing makes me feel better than crossing something off it. It makes me feel productive.
9. I find cleaning/purging therapeutic. Some people hate doing stuff like this, but I live for it. I purged my pantry this past weekend and it was glorious.
10. I hate sushi and am not a big fan of seafood. Give me a filet mignon any day over seafood. One of my favorite restaurants to have steak at is called Envy in Las Vegas. Check it out the next time you are there if you too are a steak lover. And be sure to order the truffle fries. You will thank me.
11. I hate horror films. Why spend a couple of hours being tortured, right? No thank you. Give me happy things and #allthingsDisney.
12. In junior high and high school, I had perfect attendance. I never missed a day of school because I enjoyed it that much. I was involved in activities like tennis and newspaper and loved every minute of it.
13. I have zero dance or musical talent. I am more art oriented and that runs in the family (I draw, my younger brother is an amazing artist, and my dad paints and sketches).
14. I am Lebanese, was born in Europe, and grew up in the U.S. I feel I am a perfect blend of all three of those things.
15. I have issues with chicken. If I'm eating it, it has to be a perfect piece of breast meat with no skin or jiggly parts. You all know what I'm taking about, right? There's nothing worse than biting into a jiggly piece of chicken. It also can't have an veins or blood spots. When I'm cooking chicken, it looks like I'm performing a surgery: I wear disposable food-safe gloves and have to remove all traces of fat, veins, and blood spots. A pound of chicken ends up being half that size when I'm prepping it because I cut so much of it away.
16. I lived in Marseille, France, for 6 months during college. It was one of the best times of my life and I got to travel a lot. In general, I do enjoy traveling (see an old post that I did here of some places I have traveled too).
17. I would love to one day own a small cafe somewhere. Maybe in 50 years when I retire.
18. I make an awesome Christmas fudge each year that I give to family, friends, and coworkers. It seriously is the best (recipe can be found here).
19. In general, I enjoy baking more than cooking and find it easier to do. One of my favorite things to bake are pumpkin squares. I could seriously eat it year round, but I only make it once a year because it's so
20. I have a million candles. Every time I buy one, I tell myself this will be the last one, but then I'll be out shopping and find another amazing scented one that I have to get.
That's a wrap! As always, thanks for reading. :)
