What's Up Wednesday

Hello Wednesday! Today, I am linking up with Shay for "What's Up Wednesday," which consists of answering the following questions.


1. What We're Eating This Week
Simple, healthy food is the name of the game since January. I'm participating in my gym's 12-week Challenge so the goal has been to exercise more and eat healthy. Dinner usually consists of protein, veggies, and a complex, healthy carb. I usually like to make a big batch of a protein on the weekend that will last me almost the entire week (I don't mind eating the same thing for dinner daily during the week as long as it's tasty). Last week, I made turkey meatballs, for example. These freeze really well and can be eaten in a variety of ways (meatball sub, with veggies, with spaghetti squash, etc).



2. What I'm Reminiscing About
My kitchen remodel that I did almost a year ago. I'm not reminiscing so much about the mess it made, but rather the time spent with my dad who came over to help and oversee the whole process. We had the best time! I did an entire post on the process you can read about here.

3. What I'm Loving
This new cold brew coffee I picked up this past weekend. A friend recommended it (specifically this flavor), and it did not disappoint. You can find it at Target or Whole Foods.



4. What We've Been Up To
Getting back into the routine of things after the holidays (which means cooking at home, exercising regularly, getting lots of sleep, and seeing lots of friends).

5. What I'm Dreading
Nothing much at the moment.  I like the start of a new year. :)

6. What I'm Working On
Ma fitness! My friend and I are both doing the 12-week Challenge so we are keeping ourselves accountable and motivated. I also use this to track all my exercise activity and calculate how many calories I am burning. I love it because it's simple and easy to use.

7. What I'm Excited About
Sampling some new Nespresso flavors!  I picked up a bunch from the Nespresso boutique recently.  Tip:  Chances are, if you purchase at a boutique rather than online, you will get a free gift!  I did not know this until a friend told me.  I was skeptical until I went to the store for my purchase and the clerk gave me a full size travel mug as a gift. 



8. What I'm Watching/Reading
I am currently watching The Bachelor. Yes, I am one of those people. I have no shame in admitting that I watch. It's my guilty pleasure and I love to unplug and watch it. Though, I do think that Arie is one of the most boring bachelors to date. I find myself reading Bachelor tweets during the show because it's more entertaining than the actual show.

9. What I'm Listening To
You guys. I have discovered the joy of Siris XM radio, and I can never go back. This started when I purchased a new car in November. It came with a free 3-month trial and I have been hooked every since then. Not only is the sound amazing, but there are less commercials and tons of stations to choose from (I loved the Christmas music station during the holidays). I am officially spoiled now and don't think I can ever go back to regular FM radio.

10. What I'm Wearing
Black pants, these comfy flats, and this pink blouse.

11. What I'm Doing This Weekend
Cleaning out my closet and listing items on postmark (you can view my closet here) or donating them.

12. What I'm Looking Forward to Next Month
The annual snow trip we go on. Though sadly, this year, there is no snow. But it will still be super cold in the evenings.

 

13. What Else is New
I've jumped on the 'hot lemon water in the morning' craze. Has anyone done this? Did you feel any different? I've only done it for three days now and don't feel any different yet. I'd love to know!  Leave me a comment below if you have any opinion on this (or anything else you read above).
