2009 Year-in-Review

2009 was a year of both fun adventure and craziness, but I survived and enjoyed my travels, triumphs, and tribulations.

January
Began studying for the GRE for two months. My coffee consumption tripled during this time.

February
Saw my favorite musical, The Phantom of the Opera, for the third time. That music is timeless!

March
Took my dreaded GRE Exam and did pretty darn well.
Finalized my grad school applications.
Celebrated by visiting Santa Barbara for a weekend get-away.

April
Tried SUSHI for the first time, and that did not go very well.

May
Visited Portland for my cousin's college graduation, which was held at a beautiful winery.
Was accepted into my top choice grad school (much shrieking commenced upon opening the letter of acceptance).

June
Went to Las Vegas with friends.
Saw Josh Groban in concert at the Hollywood Bowl, which was a dream come true!

July
Went to San Francisco to celebrate the 4th of July!

August
Visited one of my best friends (left, below) and went around various cities including Alexandria, Georgetown, and Washington D.C.

September
Visited NYC and attended the U.S. Open Tennis Tournament, where I salivated while watching Rafael Nadal (one of my favorite tennis players).
Started a new corporate job.

October
Started grad school, and therefore attended my first-ever football game at my new school. I am now a die-hard Bruin! ;)

November
Went to San Diego for the wedding of a friend from high school.

December
Visited Mammoth and stayed with friends in a cabin, and rung in the New Year with some good food and bubbly!
