Forever Remembered

Today marks the 8-year anniversary of September 11th. I truly can't believe it's been that long-- it feels as if it just happened yesterday. I will forever remember where I was when I heard the news.

Fittingly, I was in NYC a week ago and I was staying near the site of the Twin Towers. There's much construction going on there at the moment, and the proposed memorial plan will not be completed any time soon, unfortunately. I remember visiting the site in the summer of 2003, and at that time all that was visible was a makeshift wooden cross and a small metal sign that listed the names of all the victims.

May they rest in peace and may we never know another day such as Sept. 11th.
